Cancellation and closings policies

No cost is charged for notices for educational, religious and governmental entities and nonprofit organizations (e.g. schools, churches, public libraries, charities, etc.).

Notices for commercial businesses and events will be charged a $50 for each day.

Notices will only be announced from verified sources. We use a password code to prove the validity of callers. This information is mailed out to entities in October.

Contact WJMC you wish to set up contact information for closings or cancellations.

Station phone lines are manned after 4:30 a.m. on weekdays. Due to the volume of calls, it make take some time to receive your call. Calling one station, (WJMC AM/FM, WAQE AM/FM, WKFX) will cover announcements on all five stations. Announcements are aired approximately every 15-30 minutes.
