MADISON, Wis. (WRN) — If filing your income taxes seems daunting this year, you can get some free help. I R S spokesman Christopher Miller says low income and elderly taxpayers can take advantage of local community support.
“Go to a volunteer site in your community to use the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program – VITA – or if you’re a senior, can use Tax Counseling for the Elderly, which is TCE,” Miller said.
You can find those programs in your area by dialing 211 or visit IRS.Gov to find other help.
